Safety Issue

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I found out that my 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe does NOT have a Spare Tire while having a flat driving in the mountains. The provided tire repair kit did not work and existentially forced me to buy a new tire.

Luckily, I had cell phone service to call Professionals to help.during the incident. . However, we all know that cell phone service is not available everywhere in Canada.

Hyundai refused to fix the issue because the Motor Vehicle Safety Act does not specifically deal with Spare Tires. So the Minister of Transportation and Hyundai hide behind the ACT, leaving consumers without an essential safety feature such as having a SPARE TIRE !!!Do not

2022 Hyundai Tucson has driver door wind noise. Took it to dealer and said they do no hear anything. Sorry nothing we can do. I can push on on window while driving and you can hear a freight train. Typical for service departments. Just blow them off and they will go away.

Chance and recall of 2022 santa fe crankshaft breakage

Hyundai - Chance and recall of 2022 santa fe crankshaft breakage
Hyundai - Chance and recall of 2022 santa fe crankshaft breakage - Image 2

I was invited to the authorized service Erk Plaza in July 2022 for my 2022 model Hyundai Santa Fe, which I bought in May 2022 from Turkey, and it was said that we want to change the engine of your vehicle unofficially without informing anyone. After I did not accept this transaction and said that I could definitely do this through official ways and using my optional rights; I learned from the hyundai.com.tr recall campaign page in August 2022 that my vehicle entered the recall campaign and that the gasoline engine, which corresponds only to 2 vehicles in Turkey, should be changed due to the possibility of breaking the crankshaft.

Instead, I asked Hyundai Assan on 08.08.2022 to change the vehicle with a double, which is my right of choice. First they said ok, we have cars, we started the necessary procedures for the change, they said, you can't use your vehicle, let's arrange a replacement vehicle for you, then on September 1, 2022, customer service called me and said that your request for an exchange was not accepted and we cannot provide a replacement vehicle. There are 5 days left until the end of the legal period of 1 month.

I hope they will turn from their wrong decision and fulfill my request for change, which is my legal right. Otherwise, I would like them to know that I will sue them in the Consumer Court, claim material and moral damages, and continue to make complaints about the Hyundai brand in domestic and international social media..

RECALL OF THE 2022 1.6 HYBRİD HYUNDAİ SANTA FE DUE TO THE POSSİBİLİTY OF BREAKİNG THE CRANKSHAFT

Original review Sep 05, 2022

I was invited to the authorized service Erk

By refusing to accept this transaction, I said that I could definitely do this through official ways and using my optional rights.

Afterwards, they put my vehicle into the recall campaign and I learned from the hyundai.com.tr recall campaign page in August 2022 that the gasoline engine, which corresponds to only 2 vehicles in Turkey, should be changed due to the possibility of breaking the crankshaft.

Wheel fell of the car after having tires rotated

Hyundai - Wheel fell of the car after having tires rotated

Thank you for reading this,

I went to West Allis Hyundai to have my oil change and tires rotated as scheduled on 11/23/2021. My front passenger side tire/wheel fell off on 12/7/21.

I had the car towed to West Allis Hyundai because they were the last people who serviced my car and did the tire rotation about 2 weeks prior. I was first told I had to wait until the middle of January until they could see it. About 20 min later Michael from the service desk called to say he was sorry and when I had it towed there they would give me a loaner car. When I came in with the tow truck driver, the car was greeted by the mechanics and taken right back to the garage.

Later that afternoon the service attendant Michael called to tell me it would cost $900 to get the wheel back on and that was not the price of the body work needed.

I would have to pay that over and above. When I asked if the dealership would take any responsibility for payment or offer some compensation, he said no. The service manager felt it was an act of god and I should just turn the claim into my insurance company. The Service Manager or Manager making the discussion that the dealership was in no way responsible never talked to me or gave me their thoughts on how the wheel would have fallen off.

They have never spoken to me.

In talking to other mechanics, they looked at the pictures and said it appeared that the lug nuts were never tightened down or even put on after rotation. The one post is broken off where that would have been the one lug nut in place.

I feel the business did not show good faith in their work or any integrity. I'm hurt because the car was always serviced there. I bought it in 2015 and had my oil changes and maintenance done there since purchasing it.

I have been loyal and trusting to them, but they in return have turned their back on me. In my opinion, good business is not done that way.

A note here: No yelling, arguing or confrontation with anyone from the dealership ever took place over this matter.

Peace, Rick Cesar

I've been calling Hyundai Customer Care for over a month and being told someone will contact me from Corporate in 7-10 days. It's going nowhere! I have a 2020 Kona with a recall for the engine. I was told not to drive the care by Customer Care. I pay $500 a month for a car I can't drive. They say the parts to repair the engine are unavailable at this time.

100% correct. Horrible customer service.

Non-existent. I have a similar situation. Faulty OEM parts 8 months of dealing with their stonewalling me. I had to file with state attorney general, consumer protection agency, BBB and many others.

I even tried small claims court and they dodged service.

Avoid at all costs. If you EVER have an issue they will abandon you

Hyundai - Worst service ever! - Image 2
I brought my 2016 Hyundai Accent 2016 to the dealership February 19 due to the engine malfunctioning. I have 65k mileage just about so I thought this would be in and out. The service I received has been nothing short of a nightmare. The service manager Garrett and his team left my engine completely dismantled. The screws I mean everything everywhere. I didn't get a response from corporate until I blast them on Twitter . They offered to refund me my rental fee the term they used was good will and they didnt provide a refund yet. The case number is 1813****.

Fraudulent Business Practices

Original review Apr 23, 2021

BUYER BEWARE!! Fraudulent Business Practices!!!

If you check most of the "Bad Reviews" (too many to count), you will notice a pattern. This dealership will take advantage of you! Ed Howell told me directly "Contract Is Signed he Is SOL". Spoke with Sales Manger JIm Urso who said that the car which was posted on Cars.com at $15,355 price will not be honored.

He & Rodger Ramirez agreed on the price of the car would be $16,235. But the price of "Cash Delivery Price Of Vehicle Being Purchased/Leased" on the contract shows $17,675 Again BUYER BEWARE!! Fraudulent Business Practices!!! Not to mention the Add Ons which Ed Howell told me " He just writes them up,(does not explain them) what happens on the sales floor he cannot control".

Which brings me back to the Floor Sales Mangers. Ed Howell did say all he talked about was about the Extended Warranty. But he then adds this to the contract AIP for $999.00, Theft Deterrent for $ 899.00, Pro Package for $681 & accessories sale of ID $500. Which if you read the other reviews Prices Differ.

Why? A car which was initially posted online for $15,355 ends up after Taxes, Title & FEES@ $22,905. BUYER BEWARE!! Fraudulent Business Practices!!!

We were not the first, but we hope to be the last! We will NOT recommend any of our family/friends/coworkers or anyone to this dealership. And I would hope that anyone buying from here just makes sure that you dot your "I's" & cross your "T's"!

Hyundai rescinded my approval

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
After 4 oil consumption tests (one per month) it was determined that my car needed a new engine. Paperwork was submitted to corporate office and my car was approved. Told to bring car in to begin work and given a loaner. A few days later received a call that Hyundai changed who is eligible for engine replacements AFTER my car was brought in and basically I was no longer eligible! Excuse me? I qualified and now I don't qualify? Does this make sense? They rescinded my approval! I've written to their corporate office and called. They said someone would get back to me. It is nearly three weeks and not a word! I'm disgusted.

My car went through 4 oil consumption tests and it was determined that I needed a new engine. Paperwork was submitted and I was approved. Told to drop off my car and pick up a loaner. Several days later they called and said that Hyundai corporate basically changed who was eligible for an engine replacement AFTER I dropped my car off and I was no longer eligible! I've written the corporate office and called. Said someone would get back to me shortly. It's going on three weeks. HYUNDAI NEEDS TO FIX THIS SITUATION! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! They rescinded their approval of my car. Does that make sense??? Filing a complaint with BBB and exploring my options to hold them accountable.

After 4 oil consumption tests, it was determined that my car needed a new engine. My dealership, Advantage Hyundai located in Hicksville, Long Island submitted paperwork to Corporate Office and I was approved. Told to bring my car in to begin the work. I received a loaner. Got a call a few days later that the eligibility to receive a new engine had been changed AFTER I brought my car in and I was no longer eligible. Excuse me???? I was already approved! I need Hyundai to fix this mess!!!!! I have written emails and made calls. For the past nearly three weeks, I have been told that someone from Corporate Office would get back to me. I'm first time Hyundai owner and my Kona has 19000 miles recently took it to PR Hyundai de Carolina to check front lights one of them has humidity inside. Staff is nice but the handling of guaranty parts they need to communicate better with client. I understand there's a protocol to follow but when a part is authorized they need to inform client of status and not have you waiting for more than a week to tell you. Meanwhile you have no clue of what is going on if it's going to get fixed or not. In all reality these car Guaranties they sound fabulous at the begging when purchasing your new car but it is not what they seem!!

I went in to buy an suv that would tow my camper. That weighs 3,200. I gave the salesman the specs. They showed me a 2017 Santa Fe. I said ok get it iIll buy it. Meaning, put the towing package on. I towed a few times then suspension failed. The back tires, struts. They blamed it on me. Saying I towed too much. I had it weighed at DOT scales , its way under. They did fix it after a war. I didnt tow for awhile. The first time I did, the same issue. They wont fix it. It is still under warranty at 37,000. miles. Ive bought three vehicles from them and they treat me like this.
